New Optima goes on sale in August and brings with it some exciting changes. On the outside, there's a revised front bumper, new LED tail-lamps, fog lamps and the "tiger-nose" grille, which feature a new bright chrome finish. Saloon models also feature a new rear bumper design.
A new paint colour, "Runway Red" replaces "Temptation Red", and new designs are available for the Optima's 17" and 18" aluminium alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin features a new steering wheel and satin-chrome trim on the centre console and dashboard.
Under the Bonnet
Under the bonnet, Kia's impressive all-new 1.6-litre CRDi diesel engine replaces the previous 1.7-litre CRDi engine. Optima saloon is now available in "2" and "3" grades, while Sportswagon is available in "2", "3", "GT-Line S" and adds "GT" as a new version.
Optima "GT" is a high-performance grade that comes with a 2.0 T-GDi engine and a new paint colour "Graphite". "GT" takes the exterior of the "GT-Line" and adds chrome twin exhaust tips and red brake callipers.
The Kia Optima's interior features an instrument cluster with GT performance mode and an embroidered GT logo on the front seats. It also boasts red leather upholstery with black bolsters and red stitching. In addition, the Optima GT's standard electronic-controlled suspension system (ECS) has given Kia's chassis engineers the opportunity to create unique settings for the car's fully independent suspension.
