Upgrade your daily adventures with the new The New Rio. This stylish small car delivers a supremely smooth drive with a 1.2 DPi or 1.0 T-GDi engine with the option of a DCT (dual-clutch) gearbox and 48V mild hybrid technology. It returns over 45mpg combined in all guises and is available with driving aids like Blind Spot Collision Warning, Lane Follow Assist and a Reversing Camera System to make life easier.

1, 2, 3 and GT-Line S trim levels are available. 2 models have an 8” touchscreen, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a reversing camera and cruise control. 3 models add faux leather upholstery, heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. GT-Line S models get sportier bumpers, 17” alloy wheels, Smart Key with Engine Start/Stop, Blind Spot Collision Warning and LED ‘Ice-Cube’ Front Fog Lights for a touch of class.

Design

It’s hard not to love the Rio’s elegant, sporty body and classy interior. It’s a perfect urban runabout with a compact body and rear parking sensors. GT-Line S models have sporty body styling, rear privacy glass and LED front fog lights.

Drive

Powered by a 1.2 DPi, 1.0 T-GDi or 1.0 T-GDI 48V mild hybrid engine, the Rio packs a punch and is cheap to run. The 1.0 T-GDi engine range is available with a manual, iMT or dual-clutch automatic gearbox to suit your driving style.

Practicality

With a 325-litre boot, five doors and abundant rear passenger space, the Kia Rio is a fantastic small family car. There are ISOFIX points on both rear outermost seats and GT-Line S models get Smart Key keyless entry for easy access.

Living with it

Models with the 48-volt lithium-ion battery have improved engine response and refinement in stop and start traffic. 2 models onwards make journeys a piece of cake with Lane Follow Assist, cruise control and rear parking sensors.
