The Kia Niro Plug-In Hybrid has a WLTP certified combined electric range of 30-miles, delivering a 100% electric drive on short journeys. Longer journeys are served by the 1.6 GDi petrol engine working in harmony with a 8.9 kWh battery and a 59kW electric motor for seamless hybrid performance. It charges at speeds up to 3.3kW , charging to 100% in around 2 hours 15 minutes. The cable has an in-cable control box with a colour display, so you can easily monitor charging progress at a glance.

Choose from ‘2’, ‘Connect’ and ‘3’ trims. Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, black leather upholstery, wireless charging, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and a 7” TFT driver’s display are standard in ‘3’ models. Connect models get 10.25” navigation, EVO Connect and front parking sensors. 2 models have an 8” touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a reversing camera and the Towing Pack.

Design

The Niro Plug-In Hybrid is a beautifully compact family SUV, with roof bars, lightweight 16” alloy wheels and rear privacy glass. The interior is modern and high-tech, with a 10.25” touchscreen and a 7" Supervision Cluster with TFT Colour Display.

Drive

The sophisticated powertrain combines an electric motor with a 1.6 GDi petrol engine for a combined power output of 139bhp. It gives you a range of 30-miles combined, with a dedicated EV mode to ensure you only use electric power.

Practicality

The Niro Plug-In Hybrid charges at 3.3kW (5-100% charge in 2 hours 15 minutes). The charge port is located in the front grille and there’s storage for the cable in the boot which offers up 324-litres of space - enough for the biggest shopping trips.
